Initial-final mass relation (file)

Initial-final mass relation for single stars that become white dwarfs for the different groups. The dotted line shows the results of binary_c, the solid line the results of the Brussels code, the dashed line the results of SeBa, and the dash-dotted line the results of StarTrack.

Helium core radius (file)

The radius of the helium core according to the Brussels code and the binary_c code. The radii according to SeBa and StarTrack are similar to the one of binary_c. Core radii are used to determine if a system survives the common-envelope phase, i.e. if the donor star fills the Roche lobe after losing its envelope. The helium core radius in particular is used when the donor star is a hydrogen (shell-)burning star.
